    Beautiful and breathtaking. I love Greek mythology, and I've always imagined that Persephone would eventually grow to love Hades (who just so happens to be tied with Artemis for the spot of my favorite figure in all of mythology, and I read a lot). The emotion and true love in this piece is absolutely wonderful. I think my favorite thing about it was how you portrayed their love for each other: unvarnished and bittersweet.

    This story is heartwrenching and lovely, and your writing style is incredible. Keep up the amazing work!

    Everytime I read this it becomes more beautiful than the last. I adore Seph and Hades and I've always favored the version that Seph eventually grew to love Hades back -- this just makes it seem all the more real even if it's a story. <3

    Beautiful, just beautiful.

    Bittersweet.
    I loved this. Personally, I believe that Persephone grew to love Hades as well. (:
    This is really well written. I enjoy reading about this specific couple a lot.
    I'm going to look through your stories to see if you have any other Hades & Persephone stories. >.>

    This was freakin' awesome! You are very descriptive and the way you put it made this fabulous peice of history (it's a myth, but thats how I put it) even better.

    he sees the slight changes overtaking Persephone: her hair growing lighter, beginning to shine; her skin glowing a sun-kissed gold; and finally her black chiton paling into a brilliant ivory. The stygian iron ring, carved into a beautiful filigree of lace and flowers, stays on her left hand, the only remaining evidence of her tie to her dark husband. - I really love the description here which shows a transition Persephone goes through when she has to leave the Underworld to look after the people on earth with their harvests and such. :) I think it's quite lovely how you've written that part of the paragraph. :) It was something that instantly stuck itself out at me.

    I also like how there's a love in here that's not selfish and biased. I mean, the version I've heard, watched and read was all about her being trapped, and forced into the Underworld. But I like how this doesn't follow that, and presents a new light which people may have been oblivious about. :) I also like how you've got an array of Greek Gods ready to escort her back to earth, and in a way, it's interesting with the one's you've chosen and how they all seem to have a relation to each other, like the obvious one would be Aphrodite and the 'love link' I guess. :) Everyone there is bound by love. :) But that's just the way I see it. :)

    It's a neat piece. :)

    This has to be one of the most beautiful things I have read on this site in awhile. I was very obsessed with Greek mythology as a child, and still am, to a degree. I can completely forgive the fact that in the myth I am most familiar with, Persephone was taken and kept in the Underworld against her will; I understand there are different versions and such. I literally cannot stop singing your praises. You've written such a gorgeous take, it honestly took my breath away when I read it. Such gripping emotion, fantastically portrayed. You can practically feel the devotion and love emanating from Hades and Persephone, the horror of separation, the bitter loss. The whole story just flowed from one word to the next seamlessly, the entire scene seeming to come alive and dance through my mind. This story really struck me, and I'm at a loss as to explain why. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

    @TheScript:
    Currently just a one-shot, but it's a pairing I enjoy writing, so you might see more of it in the future. [:

    @ThtDramaticGirl:
    Not necessarily true. In several interpretations of the tale, Persephone softens to her husband and rather enjoys the attentions and gifts that are showered on her by him. That's the version I've alwayas read, anyways.
