    Very well written, and surprising.
And it had a lot of emotion in it.
    I liked it

What first drew me into the story was the layout; the picture captured my attention immediately. From the very first paragraph, you create a sense of urgency that just increases as the story continues. Repeating the theme of silence throughout the story only added to that urgency. When Riley appeared, I thought it was all over and they would be okay, but...Then she had nails sticking out of her check and that just completely threw me, I admit it. I didn't expect that, at all. Terrible and shocking, in a good way of course.

There were a couple grammar errors (mostly in tense, I believe), but nothing too distracting. I quite liked your writing style. The ending was suitably dramatic, and brought the whole thing in a full circle; the sound of silence.

That picture actually took my breath away.

This was deliciously creepy, and also very tragic. It was wonderfully written, too. I’ve never read anything like it, to be honest.

Near the beginning, you made a typo with “high school”. You wrote it like, “highs scool.”, but that’s all I noticed.

I really enjoyed this, and I was sad to see it end. However, its length was enjoyable and effective. I was just so hooked that I wanted to read more, which is an impressive thing when you’re writing a drabble. Beautifully written and very eerie, I loved it. Great job, it’s so different and slightly disturbing, but in a good way. =P
