I love that she pretty much played the heroine there, sparing him from having to choose. I hate that Dawn got her way though, agh... Thanks for the update :D
You know what? I thought seriously about those two first options alot, but have to come to the conclusion that I didn't want my story to go there. The third option was somewhat of the route I was going to go for. I think in end, I'll surprise both you and myself. I've already written the beginning for 18.
Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it alot. And it gave me more inspiration to finish this story then you know. You're right on making Ryan a man. I should stop making him look bad...haha...promise you one thing though. The baby will stay Ryan's! I'm not writing a tv soap.
Well, the way i see it you can either: 1) Take the easy/typical way out and get rid of the main obstacle in the story, aka "pregnant ex", make her lose the baby or just go full on soap opera and say the baby isn't really Ryan's and she was lying all along just to keep him.
2)Take the not-so-easy but still typical way out and let the lead character realize that Ryan doesn't have room for both her and a baby from another woman in his life, and leave him.
OR you can chose option number 3, wich is a little bit trickier but also, if done properly, could turn out to be really good...
3)Give Ryan's character a chance to shine and show us all that he's in fact a man, not a mouse and that he can fight for the woman he loves while still being there for his child(if he left his child i would lose all respect for the character, seriously). All he needs to do is sit his bitch of an ex down and make sure she knows that he's there for her in all matters concerning the baby but that's where he draws the line. No more giving in to her every whim, she's obviously taking advantage anyways. He needs to let her KNOW that he loves another woman and that he'll do whatever it takes to keep her. And then once he's done with that he needs to do something to prove his commitment to our leading lady. A proposal is kind of over the top, they're not really there yet, but maybe something like moving to chicago with her just to show that he's comitted to their relationship...i dunno, ideas officially end there lol. The beauty of this ending lies in that both characters get a chance to prove their strenght and their love for each other, instead of just being given an easy way out of their predicament. He gets to show her that he will always have a place for her in his life no matter what happens, and she gets to show him that she's willing to make certain sacrifices to be with him and that she supports him even if their situation isn't exactly ideal. The beauty of ALL these endings, however, is that every single one of them allows for a sequel!!! *hint hint HINT*
Hmm Ryan is pissing me off slightly less now, because at least it looks like he's trying. But for the love of God man, show up on time!!!! Lol thanks for the update :D
