You honestly have such a way with words, you'll go far with this; I know you will. Anyways, it's kind of impossible not to love Utah. She's just so badass-lone-wolf-type, you just know she's dying for a hug inside. And Alec is an adorable human being and I wish to be proposed to that way, too. That last line just sealed the deal with a kiss.

Why didn't I read this before??

Hi! Remember me? I'm back! :)

I love this little story, the way you write makes it just so easy to picture everything. Even with a short little one like this one, it's just enough.

I wish this was a full-on story with lots of chapters, but I don't really have the patience to read a lot right now and it's just fine the way it is. I found this on the writing prompts thread, by the way. And I love this. I love your writing style, too. It's very expressive. Thank you for writing such an awesome little story.

And I like ALL parts of this.

Hm... so I just stumbled across this, and I must say... I liked it very much. It kind of has a cliche idea to it, but is also unique in a way as well. It definitely had a lot of original aspects to it, such as the main female character's name, and then the ending, where Utah kept telling him no. I thought for sure the second time she'd give in, but she didn't. She definitely has a warrior attitude. Aha. :)
So, amazing job with this. I'm about... eh, two years late with commenting, seeing as it was like mid-2010 when you posted this, but I'm glad I found this. Because this is the best short story I've read in quite a while. :)
You're an amazing writer. Keep at it, yeah? ;)

    This is absolutely stunning.
There aren't enough words in the English language to say how this story makes me feel.

Hah, finally got 'round to commenting.
Right, so this sentence is probably my favourite: Utah wiggled her orange painted toes in her yellow flip flops. I'm not quite sure why, though. Anyway, I love how there were these twists. And I like how that, while Utah is sarcastic and bitchy she's not, y'know, OVERLY sarcastic and cliché. Your story's not cheesy, either, and it would've been if Utah had said yes to Alec.
    Wonderful story. :)

I can’t believe this has no comments, it’s wonderful.

First of all, I love how she’s called Utah xD It’s such a nice name, and I know what it’s like to have a really unusual name. Secondly, I loved how her character was. She was bitchy and defensive, but not in a cliché way, because instead focusing on that you focused on the people she let in. I really liked that, it made a nice change. She and Alec were such believable characters, and the scene at the end was excellent. I think if she had just said “Yes”, it would have been too clichéd, but the way she said no for the reasons she did made it so wonderful. It just showed the love she feels for Alec.
I wish this was a full-length story, because I really love these characters and would love to see how they get on. Well done!
