Denial - Comments

I figured I should come back and comment on this, since I did read it. I've been slacking with my commenting lately. =( But as I told you, it made me cry. It was just so sweet and well-written, and my heart absolutely broke for poor Matt.

There really are no words to describe what I was feeling while reading this. I really hope you win Whitney's contest because so far of all of the ones I have read yours was by far the best one!

I think you’ve created a unique one-shot from that line. A beautiful and sad story about the loss of a loved one and the importance to accept that in order to move on in life. I got really moved by your writing; the way you express yourself in words.

I have to say that I love the ending, it’s so important to the story. It’s sad but at the same time it brings hope. Once Matt admits to himself that Val is gone, and he won’t be seeing her again in this life, he’s able to move on, even though missing her hurts, because that’s what she would have wanted for him to do; continue living his life.
