Aw dude - so sweet.

This was so cute and heartwarming and I loved the ending. :D

This was adorable and sweet. It really was.
The way you've written it is great, at the beginning you think he's just waiting for someone at an airport (and okay, maybe he is) but the end it turns out he was waiting for his hero. And yes, Sam is his hero.

And like Roseh; dying said, the little details are beautiful. You managed to get across a lot of emotion in a short amount of words. And I loved the ending, I was 'awww'ing at it. I thought it was lovely how everyone cheered and clapped.

It was really good and I enjoyed it. :)

I love your inclusion of little details. I found that really helped to build up the picture of the scene for me.

I also like the ending. It's brilliant that everyone was celebrating Sam as a hero, and that the narrator is able to accept him for who is he even with what has happened to him. I also think that the little inclusion of spanish was really pretty. It's a gorgeous language.

My eyes were watery the entire time that I was reading it
It was as if I was feeling his emotions when he was waiting for Sam’s flight to get in and then when they kissed! Oh that was BEYOND adorable and Sam having been in the army just added to it :)

This story was cute. It was however hard to read. Dialog should be separated like paragraphs so it's easier to read. My eyes were hurting. The layout is boring but, I suppose that isn't exactly the point. The writing was good though.
