I'll have to echo Mel on all of the above.
    Things I particularly liked:
How it was written all in images from her memory. Believe it or not, I think almost entirely in pictures, with a (generally sarcastic) commentary. But most people I've met don't think in pictures all that much.
    The excellent use of vocabulary.
The (as far as I could see - I wasn't looking) completely correct punctuation and spelling.
The heavy emotions, subtly shown through the events and her thoughts - they threaten to overpower the almost serene dream-like setting.
The way it ended - her stepping into the waves, but stepping into his arms.
    Absolutely beautiful.

Excuse me while my jaw drops to the floor.
That was actually amazing. I wish there was more that I could say.

A girl. A boy. A heart. Tears spilled from her sparkling eyes as more clouds took shape. A boy. A gun. A broken heart.

That's all we needed. A reason why. And you explained it all in that short section.

It's a small Oneshot, and yet it doesn't feel like you've skipped over anything.

Wonderfully subtle, given the nature of what's going on.

Amazing. I look forward to any more stories you may put up in the future.
