This was haunting from the very first line.
    Marvelous word choice.

Wow, I really love your layout. It's pretty and clean. I would normally never have a pinkish-purple layout but you manage to make it work.

Your phrasing is excellent and I love your choice of words, they flow into sentences perfectly with clarity. I really like the narrator's voice, it's so matter-of-fact and I like how she's not wallowing in sympathy for herself. When I reached the last sentence, shivers ran down my spine.

I would love to read more if you went on with this, good job <3

this piece seems so scattered, so random, but it's not. i love the voice you told it in. it's so frank, so utterly jaded, but one can't help but agree. the whole bit about reckoners, i could just quote it anywherw xD There seems to be this running theme in your pieces about correcting misconceptions, whatever those may be. In the angel/devil story you wrote, my favorite bit was when the end, and when you added 'the imperfections make it real.' Sometimes stories aren't really the way they were told.

I wrote in blood, yeah. But it wasn't my lover's blood. I don't have a lover. It was the blood of a rat I caught in my cellar. Rats, lovers...all in artistic license, yes?

such a characteristic paragraph, for some reason. if i could take any excerpt from this, i'd choose this. mostly because of how it juxtaposes mice and men, rats and lovers... the beauty and the ugly, but which is which?

Maybe one day, they'll find Miss Evangelistia. Maybe I'll die happily of a stroke or cancer in twenty years. Who knows?

    just fantastic.

    JOAN, Y U SO TALENTED?

I saw this and knew that I had to read it - Miss Evangelista was one of my favourite characters ever and I just had to what you'd written about her. And, as is the complete normal for you, it's beautiful, lyrical, poetic and just a complete joy to read.

You've got her character perfect - from the thoughts and feelings right down to the narrative voice. I can just imagine her saying everything you write.

And it's hard to write a decent comment now because my emotions and thoughts are a complete jumble and mess. I feel pleasure at having read something so beautiful, but then I feel sympathy and empathy for Miss Evangelista, then I feel hate and hurt and guilt and everything she feels or how I feel for her and I can't express any of it coherently.

    It's just so, so beautiful.
