I love the layout and how simple it is. It definitely captures the emotions that were presented effectively. I love the way you worded everything and I love how strong and real the pain comes across. This was just beautifully written, Katie. The last two lines, just intense. I commend you for being able to put something so personal up. I loved this. <3

This was heartbreaking. It was so raw and emotionally executed. I'm almost speechless. Almost.

    You couldn’t love her.

And so she stopped loving herself.

Well, hello, extremely powerful line. It brings back the pain all over again. (I also like the layout, by the way.)

All in all, this was perfect. <3

I love how simple the layout is. It’s really simple and clean cut. It’s not distracting, and I love the cursive handwriting at the top with the banner. It’s beautiful.

There are tears streaking down her pale face, and the black of her mascara runs with them.
The running mascara description is so often used, but the way you rearranged the words—I love it. The personification made it unique and different.

It was the one thing she always thought she was safe from, and it was the only thing that would bring her downfall so easily and so quickly.
This line…it’s breathtaking. It’s haunting and taunting. [Haha. Totally did not mean to rhyme there…] It’s kind of there rubbing it in your face just how vulnerable we all are. I feel like it’s one of the most relatable lines in this story because of how widespread it could be. In your case, it was love. I think that at some point in everyone’s life, they feel like this and it’s heartbreaking.

The entire second paragraph is really intense. I really feel the guilt that ‘you’ is being inflicted and just how deep and personal it is. I feel like that as you were writing this, you had someone in mind and this paragraph wasn’t just part of a story—it was a message to someone specific. <3

    You couldn’t love her.

And so she stopped loving herself.

That really hit me. It made me sit back and just go ‘whoa’. It was powerful and just so personal that it’s still giving me that heavy feeling in my chest.

I think you’re one of the bravest people ever for putting something so personal up. Just reading it, I can really see how broken and vulnerable you were and it makes me more than sad—I can’t even describe how that makes me feel in my chest; in my head; I just want to reach out and hug you forever.

You’re beautiful, and so is your writing. <3

Okay, first of all, the layout is absolutely beautiful. It's simple, but still. And I love how the writing is all tiny. Like sunsetwing said, I like you how you put 308 words left unspoken instead of just 308 words. It makes it more raw and real. I really love the way you describe everything. The feelings are there and you can feel every single one of them. It brought a few tears to my eyes, actually :/
Anyways, I really, really enjoyed this. I'm shocked that it doesn't have about a million and one comments on it like it should deserve :D
    Lovely job! <3

Wow. This is raw, gorgeous...and amazing.
This is a small thing, but I really loved your description of '308 words left unspoken'. Honestly, it's small differences like that that make me pay attention to stories on this site :)
The way you describe the story in general, the way everything flows, bouncing back and forth from what happened, to what is happening with her now, makes this feel so...real, and so easy to relate to.
    Amazing job!

This is so sad. Beautifully written, Katie. This is so easy to relate to because all of these emotions are real. Some scars just never heal.
