Highly understandable that Jake would react that way, but thank god for Brian being so understanding and being able to calm him down enough to see that replacing Luke is no what he's all about. I think having Brian in their lives is just what both Jake and Tonya need.

I love this story, I like how jake is older, I have read a few stories where the kids are a lot younger, and I love this idea. I wonder how he will react later in the story with Tonya and Brian dating. Cant wait to read more!!

That date sure had an awkward beginning! I'm glad it got better. I loved when Brian said something about it being a date, 'cause it's so awkward when you don't know 'cause you're not sure if it's a "coffee date" or just... coffee. It's cute enough when Tonya doesn't want to be early so she drives around the block, but it's ten times cuter to imagine Brian being nervous and not wanting to be early! And the mention of pizza totally made me crave some, not good when I'm trying to eat all healthy and stuff. :P

You know I'm not going anywhere, hun; I love you and your writing far too much to leave!
As for the update, I thought it was adorable how nervous they both were :) I'm kinda worried that Jake isn't as okay with Tonya and Brian seeing each other as he said he is, though...

Aww, that was pretty damn near perfect for a first date. I loved how it was so casual, and that they'd both been nervous before seeing each other. I have a feeling that next time will be just as great. I'm not entirely sure how Jake is going to be with it though, it's going to be weird for him if things really work out between Brian and Tonya. Hopefully though he won't give them too harder time.

If she needed any more signs pointing to this whole fate thing, I think she got it. And I guess she agrees since she asked him out. Yay for that! I have to add though that I can't wait to see how Jake will feel about this. Part of me thinks that he won't exactly be overjoyed when he finds out.

I feel ya on the writing bit, hun. Inspiration comes in bursts these days, but it's been slowing down as we get closer to the anniversary of Jimmy's passing. Just gotta try and push through it though :)
