This story was easy to relate to from the beginning, but got even more interesting when the word orphan came up. It had a very good hook, and I can't wait to read more. The character was well developed and thought out. Most people either develop their main character over the whole book, or smash it into their faces at the beginning. You did the latter, and it turned out beautifully.
You left the ending open and full of suspense, and even though a lot about the character is known, you leave room for readers to wonder what will change first. Very very well done.

Oh, wow, this is intriguing. I really do like the nway the story was built up to an ambiguous ending, that's actually really cool. The cliffhanger really kind of captures the whole story and the mood of uncertainty really well, it's a wonderful effect.

I actually don't have a single negative thing to say about this. The layout was simple and elegant, and the characterization was believable and a little sad. The description was actually really wonderful as well, and very visually appealing. I'm really impressed. :)

Oh my God! Why? From the first sentence, I read each word one by one, carefully, slowly, immersing myself into the story. You character development is so amazing. I feel like I was the one in her shoes. And then the waiting, the suspense just keeps building up. And then BAM! The ending! You just leave an open ending. Usually I would love an open ending but this is just killing me! It's so anti-climatic. =(

But enough of my rant. ^_^

You're really a great author. You executed the story well and honestly, I can't find anything wrong with this story well, except for the ending of course. ^_^ I like the way you describe this girl. Her character seems so alive and real and I feel for her. It's really amazing.

    Kudos and keep writing. ^_^

This is so sad! It was so good too, though! It was very nicely executed and your main character is so well developed! It definitely made me glad I had a loving and supportive family growing up that pushed me outside my comfort zone! I feel bad for the character because she doesn't know her true potential and is always questioning her place in the world. Agh, it was just really, really good!

This was a very good story. I feel as if I can relate to it. I am also the quiet girl who works her butt off for the future, but I am fortunate enough to have a family. I enjoyed it as a short story, and not really having dialogue had a major effect in the right direction. I also feel that someone could read this as a short story and actually feel content reading it, you did a really good job in that department. The main character is interesting, her personality does show through even though not much really happens. You ended it really well, you didn't give off what would happen and that made it a good ending. Good job. ^.^

This was really good as well :)

I like how you didn't really stuff it with dialogue, but described the main character's thoughts and feelings instead.
It seems that all anyone on here writes now is a bunch of people talking over each other. Well, that or sex. I still think that all the descriptions are better.

So, good job, and good luck :)
