Wow. I cussed out loud after reading this, it's totally not what I expected.
The metaphors used in this completely blew me away! You put a new twist on so many things, it's brilliant.
Instantly I loved the line Drinking in all your old letters like late-night doses of alcohol. I love the similie in this sentence, it always shows the addiction the person is experiencing.
You've got an amazing talent, if I were to list everything I loved about this I'd just end up retelling your story.

I don't really have much to say in the case of criticism because I always love everything that you write. But I also don't have anything to say because it was practically perfect. Your style is just lovely, not all rainbows and happy things but it's real and heartfelt and almost fluctuates sometimes in ways that I cannot seem to explain. But all of the metaphors were beautiful, and I liked that part that said something kind of like 'memories living in the dark'. You did an amazing job, Katie.
