Very gorgeous. Worded in a delicate way. I could feel the emotions. She wanted him, but she just couldn't love him.

She could feel her knees dig into the mattress’s box springs, and she could feel the motion of her fingers twirling twists in James’s shaggy russet hair. She could feel his hand grasp the curve of her hip, but she knew she was only torturing herself.

That really caught me because they were doing this, but in another way it was torturing her because he loved her, but she didn't love him.

    Beautiful job. :)

Ah, this was so beautiful(: It was incredibly descriptive and I loved every second of it. You really did the song justice. This was so pleasant to read, and it's definitely on my list of favorites. Thanks so much for the entry! Awesome job(:

I think it's going to take me a good fifteen minutes to write this comment, just because I'm speechless right now.
This was brilliant. The descriptions were so detailed that they really brought the story to life. The bit about the colors of the sky being like cotton candy draped across the sky, and the way you describes James' eyes, and how Autum say herself in them...such talent.
I thought the story was sad at some points, but I felt it ended on a happy note, at least to me. I like that she's willing to admit she isn't in love with him yet. I like the battle that's going on in her mind. But most of all, I like how you managed to tell a whole story in such a small amount of words. It was as if I'd been with Autum and James every step of the way in their "relationship."
As always, it was a pleasure to read your work.
