    Wow, the fact that this story did not receive any comments is blowing my mind right now. I think this was written so elegantly, the narrator's monologue/speech [gah, I can't think of the right term] definitely had that impact and really held my attention. What a philosophy that is, it's something to actually think about. I sort of mentally nodded in agreement as the narrator told his philosophy. Not only is this really intriguing, it's sad. It's got that dark and sorrowful tone to it, although obviously from the death and the storm. I really like how the mood was set and then you introduced the narrator's speech.

    I noticed how you didn't use quotations for the dialogue, however, I quite liked it. It gave it that storytelling mood/feel. I don't think it was a mistake to not put quotations, but regardless, it seemed perfectly fine. I did however spot a few mechanical errors, but those are easily fixable. So far, your stories have really impressed me even though I have no expectations, ahah. I enjoy the mind-thoughts, I might go read some more of yours!
