Is this a part of Still Season, a made up account or something close to home? I get a feeling that's more of a personalized account, and if it is, it's written quite well.
If not, it's still written quite well, but it takes on something different. Like, we're not completely sure of who these other people are, and we're not entirely too sure on all the details of what had happened - only those necessary ones. It's quite different too. :) Like, I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to expect or leave with, know what I mean?
Also, I'm not too sure if this is just me, but it feels like the boy/guy/man is not quite human. Again, that could be just the way I read it, and the kinds of descriptions you've used. :)
But overall, it's a nice, different little piece, and it's written so well. :)
