Ohmigosh, it's so pretty. It made me remember why Billie is such an amazing character to write about. I love the contradictions in the first line that sorta weren't contradictions. You weren't denying anything was the way it was, but pointing out a difference. I love that billie loves kids.
Whether they made sense or not, they were still Mike’s and only Mike’s, and it meant something to have something. this line is so beautiful. i love everything about it, especially the last part. it makes sense. so much fucking sense.
[...]hearing them with the backups of a full band this little bit of line says so much about billie and his connection to music. i don't know if that was your intent because the beginning is mike sees billie, then billie sees mike, then interaction. and this is in the interaction place, but this characterizes billie like whoa.
i like how short and sweet this is. it's not necessarily fluff to me, 'cause it's not bullshitty. it's real. they have problems, i can tell. they're not stated, but i can tell. (everyone does, right?) it's just nice to see this little overview of how they see each other and work together in so few words.
