I like this brotherly comradery between the two Penguins. It's the human side of things, and humanising Mike Babcock (who sometimes doesn't appear to smile too often) was a plus.
And I like the take on Fleury's reaction. The first time Flower's name came up, though, I thought you were talking about Marc Staal, and I just thought, "He wasn't on the team..." And then the giveaways came up and I completey understood.
Oh, and accrocher should be in the imperative. And when you do that quote thing, start a new paragraph but continue the quote, you don't put an end-quotation mark at the end of the first paragraph. You put "blah blah blah. (new paragraph) "continued blah blah."
I hate you for the dinner part. It made me hungry. And I had just ate. But no matter how "rocky" of a start any of them got, they were all so friendly and just one big family. The fact that you took that amicable moment to show what, pretty much, EVERY Canadian was thinking at the time about their team was perfect!
Did I mention I love Steve Yzerman? His whole speech, love the man, I enjoyed your take on what he would've said, and it made me love him so much more. Yzerman: the great hockey player, the greater man. I may not like Detroit, but I love Stevie Y!
Keep writing and that Norway win just started the party (I was hungover going to school/Olympic work that day). Good stuff. I love Canada!
Great chapter, I loved it. I think I'm going to have to steal your line "He has set more records than Mike Richards has scored girls, and that's saying something.", however. Keep it up! I love it!
That was great! I'm a little pissed that Mibba failed the notify me that you updated, and the only reason that I found out was because I wasstalking glancing at your profile. But that was a great chapter, and I can't wait to see what you have in store.
I'm so in love with this. Long chapters- which have allot of details and that's good- make up for long waits. I love, love when you update this. You just get everyone squeezed in. I love it!
I loved this! The chirping during the shoot-out really made me giggle, as well as when Flower threw his stick at Sidney hahaha. I felt so sad when I was reading at Marc's frustration and him thinking he's not good enough. :( I hope he didn't actually feel this way during the Olympics. And I love Stevie Y! Great little speech at the end. The "Oh Canada" Richie said before drinking made me smile. This story is so great so far, and I love your writing. PLEASE update soon and not make us wait a million years until the next chapter!
Aw I love Marc so much! He's definitely my favorite Penguin :) But his frustration/thinking he's not good enough made me tear up it was so sad. I can't wait t see what's next!
It was close-ish to July 1st here in Vancouver, so the effort wasn't lost entirely :P I loved the chap, mainly because it was about my favorite boys Sid and Marc <3 the Talbo reference stung a little after what happened yesterday, but I still loved it! I feel so bad for Marc, he didn't get to play once, but he still got a medal, how bad do you think he feels about that? I know I'd feel guilty.
I am liking this Selena character! Not only can she hold her own, but she's a normal gal! And Whistler, I love Whistler! The place is beautiful both in the summer and the winter! I love taking the gondola or the lift and going down on a board! Like, I could go on and on about Whistler because it has some good memories, but I won't. It's just a great place that mountain lovers should visit!
But, oh my, Mike Richards. Oh my. Kicking poor, little Drew out of the room and then... Just oh my. But, ROFL copter at the girl's note. Epic!
And yes, I am enjoying the finals. Except Game 3. That was BADDD. And Game 4, not so good. Tanner Glass, pft! But other than that, I'm pretty okay.
