Everything You Touch - Comments

Okay, so it was just a tad hard to read this but only because the whole time I kept thinking of The Fairly Oddparents when the mom is like "EVERYTHING I TOUCH DIES!!" when she's trying to garden. Haha.

In regards to the story...it's beautiful (how overdone is that line in regards to your stories?). I really love the fragile relationship between Bren and Ryan and the way that no, Ryan is /not/ perfect, but Brendon is okay with that. A kind of "take the good with the bad" sort of thing. Yeah, Ryan destroys everything he touches, but it's not really so bad because he makes it beautiful first, and I feel that's the relationship between him and Brendon as well. A prryhic victory, or however you would say that. A victory that sacrifices something.

I also like how Brendon isn't afraid to mention Ryan's mistakes in this. Like, he's already accepted it and gotten on with life and understood that Ry is not going to be this perfect and amazing boyfriend but that's okay because his mistakes make him all the more beautiful.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just trying to really understand and look into these. :]

"Everything I touch?"

Brendon sighed, feeling bad about his sense of wording. "You make it sparkle first though, baby," he tried, voice soft and affectionate. "Always sparkling."
