Hey, I'm one of the fellow writers entered in the competition. I was looking through other people's entries, just to see what I was up against and I must say, well played. I'm usually not a fan of oneshots, I find them far too inconclusive, but I liked your quite a lot. I hope you do well, and I wish you the best of luck.

Wow. Very bittersweet and tragic. It mentally brought tears to my eyes as I read it. Child abuse is, in my opinion, one of the great evils of the world. (I'm sure that the late, great singer Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009) would have agreed with me, since he once said, “It brings tears to my eyes when I see any child who suffers”, since he knew what it felt like to be abused as a child.)
