I have no idea, honestly.
For a second, I thought maybe, because of the "La" and "de". If "The Persistance of Memory" were translated into French, that's how it would look. But, "Persistancia" and "Memoria" sound more Spanish/Italian/that kind of thing to me.

According to an online translator, its neither spanish nor italian, so i just tried french. :]
