The Ward - Comments

First I must point out the layout is gorgeous. Then I must say that... I absolutely loved this. Your knowledge of the time period is very good, even though I am not researched on those times. I like how you have made it apparent that the French and Germans even then did not like one another. I believe that to be a feud to have lasted eons. Anyways, the names are befitting to the story, as well as the way in which they speak. You really don't miss a beat when it comes to phrases and terms of that time. However, and maybe I am reading this wrong, but I did notice one line that sort of threw off the medieval feel to this.

They would like find themselves constantly besieged if he was given such a chance.
Chapter 1, Paragraph 9, Last line.

Even when I read it out loud to myself, the line, it just doesn't sit right with the rest of the story. Other than that great story and I would love to see it updated.

Although I still hate him, I must say I favored this chapter the most. I like how it is mostly about his point of view.Because, despite my hatred for men like him, I think I'm falling for him XD I really enjoyed being able to see Lyse so protective of Chris. It makes me see her more clearly.

I wonder what Clos wants with Christhilde...
Anyways, I love the details packed into this story, since I haven't read a story with this much details in a long time, its sort of refreshing.

I love history (though I haven't taken World History just yet) so you have me very hooked to this. (Well, I was hooked before >_>)
The names are wonderful; very uncommon in the Land of Mibba. I like how you have the whole story in motion; like one major amazing movie that plays straight in my mind.

I was worried about Clos at the end, but you cleared it up. =) And how dare he talk to her that way! >=( Doesn't he know how to treat a lady?
