I just read this story in the course of a week. Now I want to cry!!!! Why not Jack he was always there for her! He was sweet and caring to her the whole time no matter what and Alex had some douche bag moments to her and even had to think about if he wanted the girl after he was the biggest part of why she left her long term relationship! Poor Jack didnt even get his second date! She bearly gave him a chance after all that bullshit that happened!!!! :'c

I kinda sad it's over... but I can't wait for the sequel. Brilliant story. :-)

It's kind of sad this is over, but I'm SO happy with the ending. I'm about to read the first chapter of the sequel now. :)

This story seemed to go by really fast, I did love it though, and the choice in the ending was amazing.

I feel absolutely terrible for Jack, but something about Alex and Melanie just seems like a better fit. When it comes down to it, they helped each other out of destructive relationships and fell for each other in the process. It was a bittersweet ending with Jack and Caitlyn being dumped, but I'm happy with how it all played out. You did an absolutely wonderful job writing this story.

As I type this, "Painting Flowers" is open in another tab. I can't wait to read the first chapter :)

Since Melanie said that pride was stopping her from being with the guy that she cares so much for, I'm guessing that she chose Alex. I'm not quite sure, though.

Either way she chooses, I'm really digging the idea of writing a sequel about the guy she doesn't pick.

Please, for the love of God. Write a sequel. Both for whoever Mel chooses and for the guy she doesn't choose. It's so hard to find a decent writer anymore and I love the way you write.
