My Soldier - Comments

Wow, this was a very touching story and it was definitely tugging upon my heartstrings!
I loved how she was so committed, and I loved how you explained that she sometimes fantasized him being with her, it seems like something a lot of people would do when missing their loved one that much. My heart completely broke and went out to her when she arrived home and found out about his passing.
This was an excellent, well written read and I very much enjoyed it! :)

I hate reading things about soliders because they always die, but this story blew everything else out of the water! I loved this story and it made me tear up because she really seemed to love him!

I love how you actually included a friend, because in most it's just her and she's sad and alone. The layout was beautiful and the grammar made me happy!

All in all this is the best solider story I've ever read!

That was just unfair. The beginning so wonderful. So happy and then that? I almost started crying...

This is a beautiful story and your layout is super pretty. One thing I didn't like was we didn't read much about Kyle, I couldn't really get a feel for his character with the short amount of paragraphs he was in so the ending wasn't too emotional for me. I do however, love how you set this up, it is a very sad thing and it happens too often. The only way to make this short story even better is to add a little more detail (:

When she was told that he had died I actually started crying!

I apologize for the delay in reading and commenting this. Somehow I knew when I started reading how this was going to end. When you say it was inspired by someone special to you then I can only hope the situation turned out better than it did for Delilah. It's very easy to see how much Delilah and Kyle loved each other so it makes the ending even worse. I love how you have her writing her dreams on paper and saving them for Kyle. Honestly I can't express completely how this makes me feel. My brother in law is a marine and this makes me imagine what life would be like if he didn't return home safely each night. This story is beautiful and sad at the same time, well done.
