Envy is always a very interesting emotion to deal with. That green eyed monster, as they call it. I like how you started with the hate that envy can feed and then you find out the cause is love (or at least want) which is usually the main cause.
I like that one of the things he picks out is his height. "No one wants a short guy." Such a trivial thing, and oddly funny in this context. And then "I'm bout as straight as a fucking circle." That made me laugh out loud, seriously. I'd heard of as straight as a rainbow but straight as a circle? That's a whole new hilarious one for me.
I like how he's pessimistic at the end too. Makes it very believable, just like real life.
