I adore your summary. Clever, writing it like a book jacket :) I also love the plot line; very interesting. And your array of funky characters promises to provide a lot of literary entertainment.

I’ll start off with the layout. I really like the busy-ness of the background and the picture; I think it adds something to the story. As for the font of the summary, I find that blocky fonts make a story much harder for the reader to read than others. I suggest changing it to Arial or Verdana just to make it easier to read. Other than that, this looks like a promising start to an awesome story – as I rarely find stories that fall into the steampunk genre - and I can’t wait to start reading!

I really like the premise of this story – a brother and sister being evacuated from their home and torn away from their mother’s arms and sit on this cold train among kids just like them. My heart ached as I read this; having to say goodbye to their mother and leaving everything they knew behind. I actually thought this was going to be a story taking place in one of the world wars or even the American Civil War, but I’m surprised to find that it’s actually in a whole different parallel world. (At least, I think so, haha)

I’m already hooked deep into this and am excited to continue on. I’ll definitely come back to read more when I can. Awesome job! <3

I am really into this story; I usually don't read these kinds, but it's managed to capture my attention quite well. Cheri is by far my favorite because I can relate to her ramblings and subject jumping! Plus I love her whatever-it-is-animal. This story is extremely origininal, as far as I know, and I hope you write more soon. (:

Aaah I love this! It's only one chapter so far and I still love it. The way you introduced the characters is so interesting and I'm eager to see what awaits them in The Hollow. This was so sad, seeing them leave their family behind - awesome job at conveying that emotion, by the way - but at the same time it sets the mood well.
I've never read a steampunk story, either. This looks awesome and I'm sticking around for more. :D
