i haven't been on in so so so sO long and for some reason, i just remembered this story.
(I JUST FOUND OUT QUIZILLA SHUT DOWN?!)

This story honestly makes all the other joker stories on this site look like elementary kids wrote it! Wow this was such a thrill to read, I really do hope this gets turned into a comic!

I remember when I first read this on Quizilla and I was so enamored with it. I think I honestly spent a good amount of my time glued to my computer screen reading this. Then on a whim almost two years later I re-visited and got so excited that you had posted this on Mibba.

Everything about this story and collection is amazing. I love it and will most likely re-read this and the others multiple times.

I really hope you get the re-written version published.

It definitely wasn't at the point you're referring to. When I was at this stage I would come up with each consecutive chapter idea on my little walks/rides to work and write them down on napkins (a weird habit that's stuck with me even now, I'll find crumpled napkins with bits of future-plot in my pockets all the time haha one of these days I have to get or-gan-na-nized haha!)

I didn't know how it would have to end for them until the second chapter of Terra Firma.

I think the weird foreshadowing is just the symbolism I'd set up for their relationship early on, and it fit with the ending so well because of that pre-established symbol. When I posted and re-read these parts, it did strike me as oddly coincidental.

Chapter 19:

My senses were buzzing with each kiss. It was then, as he giggled between my advances and led me to that back room for the third time, that I realized just how inseparable we really were. I was drawn to him like a moth to the flame, and I could not, would not, ever go away until the flames died.

Or until the fire burned me alive.

I may have already asked you about it, but how far ahead did you have everything planned at this point in your writing?
