This is my joker story an I'm glad I chose this one! It amazing! Its just suspenseful and I love the chemistry between Joker and Red! It just keeps improving! I cannot wait to see what happens next! Keep up the fantastic work!
There is a lot I have to say about this story, so brace your self. First, I'd like to say I loved the fact you show The Joker as a dynamic character with actual emotion and humanity. I hate when people who write romance stories about The Joker depict him as being nothing but a cold-blooded, emotionless, mass-murdering clown. It makes this iconic character seem flat and lifeless. Which works okay if your presenting him as a secondary character. It just doesn't sit well if your trying to make him one of the protagonist. I also thought your take on Batman was very innovative. A man so caught up with putting The Joker behind bars he becomes insensitive to his own acts of unethical behavior. I've never seen that before and I thought it was simply brilliant I will admit.... I was a little weary when I found out it was an OC character. Instead of one found in the comic book. I feel that a lot of times they tend to present their character to strongly. To the point it overbears the story. For example, this one story I read, there were literary five chapters dedicated to one of the characters making a sandwich. Nothing innovative happening...just making a sandwich. It was offal. But I feel you did a wonderful job with creating Red. You made her so sweat and adorable that you can't help but to fall in love with her. Red's temperament also compliments the emotional side of the Joker. In a lot of Joker romance stories I've read they make the Jokers love interest hard-headed and stone-cold. It just doesn't seem like it would fit with the character though. In stories with characters like the Joker it just seems like it works better having an 'opposites attract' love connection. I'm also a fan of the way you've managed to maintain her personality throughout the story. Something not a lot of authors are good at doing. They tend to change the characters personality based on the situation, which makes the story seem choppy and unrealistic. So very good job at character characterization. To finish up my comment, I'm very impressed by your unique take on these classic characters (Batman and Joker), as well as your ability to create a character (Red) who captures a readers attention immediately. I do honestly and truly believe that this character you created is movie worthy. Truly a great character you created. All in all a very good job. I feel that if you continue down the writing path you could become a very successful author (if thats what you want of course). I also feel that you could turn Red and her back-story into a very captivating film. So I wonder if screen writing is something you might want to look into doing? Anyways very nice read and please continue to write.
