Oh my good God, I just, I can't! I really can't! This is too freaking adorable, I seriously cannot get over how freaking cute this entire thing is it's just soighoirhglkefngojsfhg. I like how he's so interested in all things Discovery Channel, or well just animals in general, as I'm guessing with the Afrian Elephant and lions and owls. I think its cool how he has such a thirst of knowledge, and that's actually really interesting about the lions. Horney bastards. .___.
The relationship with his mom is really cute too. So many people just forget entirely about parents in stories and seeing them together and the way that they mesh so well is really endearing. It's nice that she's so accepting of her son and his slightly estranged ways.
I also love how childish he is but it sort of compliments his intelligence too in the way that he's so curious and whatnot. I also love how the vocabulary stays the same throughout, even in the narration, which a lot of people don't do. How he says that I got my tush there and whatnot. And even though you don't spend too much time with details, it's short and sweet and sort of refreshing. Usually getting right to the point would bother me but it's not too skimpy, just short and sweet.
The summary made me laugh too. Oh, god, this kid. I seriously, seriously can't. It's much too cute. This is my new favorite story, hands down, and it's only two chapters! Gah, I really do sort of get that Forrest Gump vibe like the above comment said, because he's got that childlish quality that just makes him so damn lovable! I will stop wasting your time with my long rambly comments, but seriously, I have fallen in love with this story.
