LOL XD The majority of what you've typed is what's on here. For instance, I typed in Gaara in search tags and got a few stories where the basic plot is the same: 1. a girl with a tailed demon in love with Gaara/Naruto/Sasuke, 2. OOCness, 3. the long lost twin {an example for one story was "Gaara and Haara"}, 4. vampires {how vampires come into play when the Naruto world has shinobi, samurai, and a HANDFUL of demons {key word being what...9 of them right?} is beyond me. 5. Horrible pasts...we all got them, no need to make the OCs match their love interest. And that's not including the names. Since they're all respectivly of Japanese orgin, an OC with a Western name like Jasmin or Chris is just out of place.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. It made me snicker as I read it ^^. I'm actaully planning on writing a Gaara fanfic and would be honored if you could review it for me. Would you?

OH MY GOSH! I WAS SO JUST THINKING OF WRITING THE SAME EXACT THING! My brother and I were trying to find a good fanfic to read, but we were talking about the cliche of the fanfics, how the character is the perfect, all-powerful, Jinchuuriki, Sharingan weilder and how that is suckish and makes NO sense whatso ever! We really hate that! And honestly, the manga/anime is a NINJA! Can there be a little action and fighting in these stories? I mean, come on. They are NINJA! Not every ninja has the spare time to walk around all day and do nothing. When I was on Quizilla, I had this friend with the exact DON'T fanfic that you described. But we got into an RP, and the most annoying thing was that she was also the smartest person in the world. And even though she hated Sasuke, she was his best friend, and he tried to rape her. Now HOW does that make sense?! I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your little rant because I SO agree with it. And what about all those girls who are like, the lost Uchiha daughter or something? What the heck is that? I really think that making an original character that is related to one of the pre-existing ones is stupid. It really is, in my opinion. The only way I find that acceptable is if it's like, after the story, when the main characters are all grown into adults. Making your OC someone's long lost sister/twin/cousin/brother/triplet/half-sibling or whatever just annoys me. Anyway, like I said, thank you for writing this! In my fanfic, my main OC is kinda Hinata-ish. She has a crush on Naruto, but he doesn't notice it. And I actually focus on the mission that they are on! Of course, it is a prequel, so I do need some explanitory junk in there, but still. I have tons of OCs, too. The villians are all mine because I wanted a reason for my characters to be involved, instead of the cliches. Oh, and I actually have a male character! My brother and I worked on this fanfic for a really long time, so there is a huge, completely unrelated to Naruto story about all of our characters and what not. And my characters aren't immensely powerful! And none of them have a biju or demon. One has a kekkei genkai, but it is more like the Inuzuka's. It ISN'T an almighty occular jutsu that surpasses the Rinnegan. I do haave demon sisters, but that was from the removed story, and I couldn't have the main villains without them. Yeah, my villian resembles Orochimaru a bit, but he's far different. Anyway, thanks for being the voice of the fanfic critics!^^
