I thought this was good for a first entry (:

I like how you started it off - in the middle of some conversation, and just bam, in your face. And to be honest, I didn't expect it, maybe because I never thought or read a story of Matt cheating. Funny thing is, halfway through, I sorta thought a little something with Brian might come up and I would've been all, GASP BRIAN, NO. BAD. MATT'S YOUR FRIEND. But obviously, that didn't happen. Ugh, where Matt said he never stopped loving her but started to care for someone else... broke my heart.

And the ending was definitely a surprise- but felt like it was kind of randomly thrown in there. I think it would've worked a little better if you sort of gave hints to it throughout the story. But, thank you for entering the contest and good job (:
