I don't know. Chris Daughtry was on American Idol but I don't know if you've ever seen that show now he's in the band Daughtry. TBH I thought I remembered hearing that name somewhere recently too (after I had already started using it) Oh well. When you use common names there's bound to be someone else with it.

Thanks for the help. I might be taking you up on that soon. Reina's actually not Mexican but she is latina (her ethnicity is specified in a couple of chapters). I know what you mean about using minorities as main characters. I'm Black obvi, so I understand. I think sometimes people are just scared writing from the point of view of someone they may not feel they can relate to.

Personally, I like to switch it up. I write Black, latina, and white characters.
