I found this short story through a friend and I'm glad that I decided to read it. This was such a great read. I love it. Agreeing with Adulation, you should definitely have mire comments.

I can so totally see this happening in my head. One thing I don't see though is how the hell you don't have more comments. :)

Poor Sam though, always getting hurt some way or another though, lol.

I think I'm going to cry.

I loved all the description and the mood you set at the beginning. It felt exactly like being alone in at home at night. Everything seems so much worse and frightening and you can hear every little thing because your senses are heightened.
