I have to say that I really adore the story you built up around Kate. It sounds interesting and understandable -somehow- that a person would do that. I mean come one! Paris, France, no work ... sounds lovely to me even though leaving my friends behind would not be a thing I'd preferably do BUT love makes you go blind, eh?
Her cold voice when it's about the parent's thing is something I also loved. This just shows how much she cares about Hayley and that it feels for her like a stab with a knife into her heart as well as for the siblings.
N'aw poor Katie got beaten up by this man ... he should rot in hell. Well at least someone should pay him back same way! Fucking twat! :o
How she breaks the nervousness and fear of Hayls is something else which is wonderful. She starts joking around & jumping around so she doesn't feel bad or such. This is a true friend to me! :)
She's crazy just like me. Hehe!
It's also going to be good that Kate stays at Hayls & Zack's place since she can help them a lot. If it's with the household -like she cooked breakfast- or with the pregnancy. She can be a part of her life again and I am sure that Kate does want to be a part of it more than anything!
The meeting between Jimmy and her is just ... adorable! I mean seriously ... blushing ... it's something embarrassing for her probably but cute for everyone else! Liek really adorable. Urgh I just see those together so perfectly fine. I fancied your description of the hug of Jimbo. To say "almost as if he was scared of breaking her" does intend a bit that he likes her and that he doesn't want to hurt her.
I wonder if she got bruises anywhere though ... but yeah just a thought that appeared in my mind now reading this. :D

All right, let's sum it up:
This chapter is more than wonderful because of all of it together.
You're style of writing is amazing and there are barely no typos. I can't remember if I found some at least. I am already excited for what happens next since she must tell Brian the big news!
Also I am quite excited about Kate being back and such.
Take your time to write such a wonderful next chapter as you just did with this one.

Ooh, I wonder what they'll talk about when they go get her sunglasses. So, is her mom going to pay the credit card bills and stuff? This os so good, by the way.

As promised I am writing you a comment on here now. Let's see how long this is going to get. :)

I really do love the new chapter since you wrote it with such lovely details. I mean you got deep into this argument/fight that was not just struggling between the Hayley's parents and herself, it was also the inside struggle she had. I can really empathise with her and I am sure everyone who reads this can.
It's very understandable how she thinks that it's her fault that her family tears apart even though it is not.
This is just the feeling you have when situations like this happen.

Another lovely aspect is how Zachary defends his sister. This just shows the love he has for her. This pure sibling love. That he gets smacked is quite awful and I really got angry at their so-called father.
When they both get into his room is so sweet. I love how you showed their friendship once more. It's so adorable!

The ending is mean! Even though I love to write cliffhangers I hate having them in other stories.
On here -right now- out of several reasons. :b
I wonder how you are going to put Kate into this. I mean how you explain her being there and such!
