Well, you've accomplished something very rare for a story on Mibba - I've actually teared up. I can't get over how much I loved this. Your writing style was absolutely stunning, and your sentences just really pretty. I related to this a lot - my dad taught me how to play guitar, and it was how we stayed connected as I got older - so it really struck home.

I was unsure how I'd feel about this after reading the summary but your very first sentence hooked me, and the tone sucked me in. Seeing music sneak into Kevin's soul progressively was great, and how it stayed with him after his dad's accident was so satisfying. Your ending lines were what really did it for me though - so much emotion and love.

The only thing I'd suggest is giving the layout an update - I switched to the default because the green on black is a bit difficult to read.

Gorgeous piece and good luck in the contest!

This story was so sweet! Even though it was sad in some spots the end made it have such a good tone. This is one of my favorite things I've read on Mibba.

This was absolutely lovely! Oh my god by the end I was tearing up, and I wanted to read more and more. At first, I saw how long it was and was like "holy shit!" but as I started reading it, I immediately got into it, and didn't stop reading until it was done. Wonderful job!!
