I really really liked this! I loved how you managed to describe such a monumental moment in his life and his relationship in such a short story. It was really easy to get into the state of mind of the character and empathize with him. I imagine that getting traded must be heartbreaking, particularly for someone who's been with a team for a long time, and I think you really captivated the feeling very well. I also liked the main female character, she seemed very strong and sure, I loved how she handled the situation, I couldn't believe that she slapped him... it was a great touch. You're a great story teller, and the writing was flawless. Thanks for the fantastic entry ;)
