First off, I think this fit almost perfectly with the song. I listened to it will I read and ugh, it just fit really nicely, like the song was playing in the background as if it was a movie.
I kind of saw it in my head as a movie as well, the description was awesome. And I love how you didn't do the cliche thing and go away from the song, ending it with them together. It's sad but it's true to the song and the story. I almost want to know what happens next with them.
And when Dan whispers "This can't be the end"? My heart is crying right now.

There's no need for you to be down on yourself with these one shots dude. Even though they're short, they really do get the job done. I am now officially sad and wishing that the two of them would just make up and live happily ever after. That is all.
