I love this story because I can relate. I love that Ryan's able to escape into his dreams; and the description of dreaming reminded me a bit of Stephen King.
Kor! :arms: ILY and your stories, I love the originality of the concept and how you've described the settings beautifully
-Whispers- Ummm... Kor? People always tell me, and I think I should tell you 'cause this story is amazing, don't capitalise the letters after speech..."Try me,” He declared"
I'm not being horrible! I just don't want anyone mean and nasty to insult this awesome story :con:
I think this is wonderful. I went back and read the genres and didn't see one-shot, so I'm hoping there will be more. It seems like the type of story where it could stand alone, but more won't ruin it. There are a lot of stories where more will ruin it and this isn't one.
Besides everything relating to Wonderland [and my favorite, the Dormouse], my favorite part was when he was talking about wanting to make a cake like his dad used to. For starters, anything that has to do with Ryan's dad I'm just a total sucker for. Secondly, it always makes Ryan seem so young and vulnerable and just a little bit broken.
Which he is in this story.
I like that the anorexia is there. It's not a huge angst-filled sobfest [which can be done and done well], but it's just simply there. And it's quite simple to him.
That's an amazing start. A place where everything was good, a place where he wasn’t sick, mentally, and physically. A place where love was there, in physical and mental presence. That was my favorite line. I love your descriptions. <3
I can't wait to read more, excellent job.
