I love the introduction to this first chapter. Becca, a teenager looking for another one who must be drunk off his ass like everyone else surrounding her. Niiice. And then there’s the whole fact she’s dropped the “she’s my best friend” bomb to Garrett who seems to have fallen drunkenly in lust for this girl at a previous party.

Brilliant. Just. Brilliant. It’s clichéd but the way you’ve written it is brilliant because you just know that she’s probably rolling his eyes at him with a proud smirk on her lips.

You m’dear have a way with painting readers a picture in their mind. It’s a great gift to have. Treasure it.

By the way, I have no idea who The Maine are (well, I know they’re a band who recently toured with Taking Back Sunday) but, yeah. I look forward to reading more of this story.
