  • Like I said I would, I read this last night while I was half asleep! I was just that excited for the first chapter. I'm still so incredibly thankful for you writing this story for me. As I've mentioned to you, usually stories for me never work out so I'm irrationally pumped, haha. I loved the introduction paragraphs, especially the bit about the need to bring happiness to those around me. That couldn't be more true, to be honest. I love making people happy, usually as my own expense and sanity, but oh freaking well.

    I honestly loved the backstory, from babysitting two adorable little nuggets, to my family life, to my love for my hometown. Despite Ottawa not being my hometown, it was so realistic because all those things are how I feel about Chicago, of course. I can't wait to see how my jobs, and school, and my mother come play into the story later, as well as my mother's mysterious new job..?

    ugh, To feel as though perhaps tomorrow would leave the world of “average” behind lit a flame in me, one that would not die down until the last drop of kerosene whisked me to that incredible future I had been longing for. I have a feeling Ben is going to whisk me away from average whether I like it or not, hahaha. I seriously love it so much already and can't wait to see how Mr. Eager plays a part in my life. More soon, I hope!! <3

  • I love the way you write. It's different. Not simple with the words but amazing at the same time. I can not wait to see how this goes and to read more your work.

  • It is so insanely refreshing to read something with a vocabulary that isn't banal and oversimplified. I definitely miss reading your stuff. I've been mostly M.I.A. from mibba except for a joint story I'm partly responsible for, for many different reasons/excuses. All I know is that I used to religiously read your Crosby and Avery stories, and then when I finally came back to mibba one ended and the other one had disappeared, lol.

    ANYWAYS, enough about that though. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, and I for one am super excited about this story. My own Eager story ended about a year ago, and I am jonesing for some new Ben action. This story sounds like it is going to be damn good action too. Can't wait to read moreeeee :)

  • If this whole introductory chapter thing is any indication of how amazingly awesome a story is -ahemcoughhack'AppealtoReason'hackcoughahem- then I really cannot wait (;

  • Now that I've read this probably ten times and giggled profusely (even though Ben's not even in it, but pretty much alluded to as a asshat) I should probably comment. First of all, thank you so much for writing this for me. I know it's technically my prize for that Ryan Clowe one shot I wrote for your contest forever ago, but I just see it as you being wonderful and writing about my husband for me. Because you're wonderful.

    I adore the title, and can see possibly where this is going from just that. Whether it alludes to me or Ben or the both of us, Work In Progress is catchy, simple, and I'm sure full of hidden meaning that will pop up later! The summary and the introduction are equally as interesting as they are vague, as you described. As if I wasn't going to be hooked by the simple fact that you are writing Ben, my interest is completely peaked and dying for more!

    I can already see simply by the first sentence of the introduction that story me is itching to know where I stand with Ben, and ah, isn't that every insecure girl's plight, to know where she stands with a guy? I know I've been in that boat before. Of course I'm dying to know just how I know Ben, what happened between us, and how he feels about me, but I probably won't know that last one for a little while I'm sure.

    Basically, this is going to be perfect. No pressure, though, 'cause everything you write is perfection. I'm jealous of the way these beautiful stories just come out of you! Thank you again, Rina! I can't wait to read more.

    Also, expect this to get pimped out beyond belief. (;
