I thought this was a good first start to this story.
I'm glad you did put some descriptions in, especially at/near the end.
I can see this story is a promising one

Nice. I like the story so far. It's pretty descriptive, especially towards the end. I'm not sure where you're headed with the plot though. However, the mystery about her Mom seems intresting. I like the relationship between the girl and Brandon. It's cute :) Keep updating.
