You shouldn't really take a big notice in comments. Sure, they're awesome to get (I love getting them) but you should writing and post for yourself. Some people rarely get comments, like myself, but we still continue posting. And most comments don't contain criticism/real helpful comments on your writing unless you do comment swaps/review swaps and such.

Were you writing it on Mibba? There's several writing programmes that you can download for free that save while you're going so that things like that don't happen (too) often.
