    This is really interesting :) I really like it, and you're writing is good. If you want a tip, the only thing really, is your sentence structures. I struggle with this, too, in some scenarios.
    Instead of "I watched and listened intently, curious of their conversation." you might want to say: Curious of their conversation, I watched and listened intently.
