I don't celebrate x mas. But I have to say, this made me tear up. I don't know why, but I kind of thought he was gonna get into an accident. And I was like, "Oh, gosh, I hope it doesn't happen when he's talking to his babies."

But that's really sad. I don't even know what else to say. It was very well written though. Good job. :D

My heart aches for his family. This was so sad but so beautifully written! I could see it all play out as I was reading along and the ending seriously just caught me off guard. To be fair though, had to figure something was going to go wrong with all the warnings he was getting Sad Despite being such a sad Christmas story, I really enjoyed this, and I love that he was able to find peace after his passing! This was brilliant and really fantastic.

I meant that there's more to the story than what you might expect. Thank you guys for the comments!

    *SPOILERS*
-.- you killed me! So annoyed with you! There's me, oh cool a lovely puppy. those girls are so lucky. Awww, look at the great interaction between father and his kids. Ah, this makes me think of when I was young. Oh he's still heading home. Oh can't wait for them to open presents. Damn that light, bet he's impatient, wanting to put the present under the tree as soon as. Honking... okay... collision... okay... impalement?... YOU WHAT?! Death?... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What about the presents under the tree? What about, "Wow Daddy, a puppy!" What about the laughing of him and his wife as he sees how excited they are? What about them teaching the two girls how to look after the puppy? How could you give him such a cruel fate :'( Bring him back! Bring him back now!

By the way, when you say there's more, did you mean it's not just a 1 chapter story?
No... You didn't did you? You just meant there was more than the ' A loving daddy...' bit :'(

I think I need more than a virtual tissue. Very good story, I love stories that can invoke these kind of emotions. It hit rather close to home, though. I don't know what else to say other than how good it was. I loved how descriptive you were, I could feel the warmth as well as the cold of Christmas time.

I loved the imagery in this; it was almost like I was standing by Jim as he went about his day. As harrowing as the topic was, I enjoyed it :)
