The layout: I see you gave me heads up about the layout, and I gotta say yes, it doesn't fit my taste. But that's just because you combined the colour bright red and black together which hurt my eyes a little due to the intensity. However I do think I'd really like the layout if you just pick another colour for the text. And I firmly think the background suits the story very well. :)
The story: I do remember you have written some careless mistakes in your story of about 2-3 but it's barely noticeable because the story itself was very intriguing to even complain about the errors. Very effective, I must say for I still remember the whole plot. xD
And unexpected, too. There were two parts I thought were going to be in a different way from the real scene. First, when the sister and parents cried, I thought it was about Anna having a cancer or something but it turned out to be the sister herself. The other one was the part when Anna wanted to prove her sister that she was there for her, I really thought Anna was going to hunt the stupid guy who knocked up her sister down and give him a piece of her mind or something like that, but instead it was far beyond that. xD
I love Anna. When I read this story, I actually knew what she felt. I agree with everything she said about life and the world. This character somehow somewhat alike with me. And this was what I love best about your work, I felt like I was in the story myself.
The ending is fine, I have nothing to say about it except that it was very sweet. :)
