So I'd firstly like to congratulate you on the layout. It is gorgeous. Even though it's so simple, it's easy to read, and I love it. The pic in the banner is one I haven't seen before, but I think it suited the story very well.
There were a few spelling mistakes, like 'pase' instead of 'pace', 'ruggid' instead of 'rugged', and a few others, so my advice is to just really take some time to double check everything, especially any words you are unsure of.

For your prompt, I think you did great. It was just what I expected and I enjoyed every second of reading it, which is seriously a great thing, and sometimes hard to do.
I also loved your descriptions at the start, and the last line. It was really good.
