Here's to judging!
Alright, let me start off with saying your story is the first one I've read while judging that isn't about finding out you are pregnant or telling someone you are. And that's a relief! But anyways, your grammar needs a little work, try using this format: "Are you sure?" he asked. Notice how the 'h' in he is lower cased here after the question mark. This will help you in your questions and when your spell check says you have a fragment. Spelling was great as was the creativity as forementioned. You also followed the rules to a T. You earned bonus points for being descriptive, having a somewhat emotional storyline, having a good, nondefault layout, and fitting the contest description.
