@nolifelowlife I don't know before it seems like I could feel your attachment to the story and I guess not it's almost like the 3rd person makes it seem more distant. I really connected with the "falling in love unexpectedly" plot line and I still love this story (and your writing). I guess just reread what you write and put yourself in Connor and Kennedy's shoes (metaphorically) and make sure you're happy at the end with what you write. (but i'd be happy with whatever you come up with) love the originality of this story BTW and things will be the way there are supposed to be.

ps. Again i'd read a story loosely based on your life (or anything you write for that matter)

But you're writing seems different in this chapter, maybe because it's your first chapter on your return but nonetheless I love it and this story. The trauma has caused them to admit their feelings for each other I'm so happy!
