It's the sort of warm, family thing that is a comfort to read.
From the other comments, I'm guessing something worse happens.

This is really beautiful Finn and my heart goes out to you more than I can explain in words, and I thought I was good with them. I can't understand that kind of violence and cruelty and I don't think I will.
