This is beautiful! The layout is perfect and sets the mood. I have to say that this is one of the best things I've read in awhile. :)June 6th, 2012 at 05:35am

I love how the picture is related to the story. I personally always try to make my pictures related to the story.
This was really good. I liked how it started with a simple little sentence and then into a paragraph with good wording, such as "perpetual."
The plot line was cute, in a matter of words. And I find short stories without dialogue amazing. Because all there is a description of what's inside the main character's minds and their surroundings. I like how you switched characters - like you started out as Mandy and then went to Tony and his thoughts.
Congratulations on the comments by everyone, too. Because I agree with every one of them. :)June 5th, 2012 at 08:32am -
First of all, I love the layout. It's nice, clean and simple. And the picture is perfect for the setting.
I adore your use of endearing. And how you use it several times. The repetition of the word was really nice, and it was a nice effect.
I love how you made it obvious how obsessed with books Mandy is. Your descriptions of her pretty much all have to do with books and her reading. That's amazing!
And I love the way that they met, with the books tumbling down on the ground. And how both of them just brush it off and make the best of it. How adorable!
Everything is perfect! Everything is absolutely amazing!
Favorite quote/s:
"There was something surreal about the towering walls of shelves, filled with books of every kind, the smell of paper and ink, and the perpetual humidity that wasn't unpleasant like it would have been if she was outside."
This is so true. Libraries are magical. And I think you put their magic into words perfectly.June 2nd, 2012 at 07:23pm -
Thank you for commenting my story. I'm here since we were doing a comment swap, so I hope you enjoy my comment. If not, then I'm sorry.
Your story's layout is simple, yet pretty. I would have used a different color for the background since the picture has a lot of colors inside, but regardless it's pretty. You did a nice job on it and I like it. :) <3
From what I see, the "summary" is your prompt right? I like it either way. It drew me in even thought it's only one sentence (I do that a lot too so I'm not hating on the summary).
The story itself was simple yet adorable. Tony and Mandy are lovely characters. I enjoyed the relationship between them. I think my favorite part was when you began to explain why Tony found Mandy endearing. The descriptions you used were cute yet fitting. The thing I try to find in stories are descriptions (details). I finally found one that I loved in your story and I'm satisfied.
You used a lot of good words describing the girl and I was happy with that - the polite and genuine way she chirped greetings to the people she passed, the reverent manner in which she held a book, stroking the spine before opening it.
It was really enjoyable to read this and I am happy I did. :)

I thought this was perfect in the sense of how well it's written and well formed. You set these two characters up who are already liked and loved to readers, so their entire relationship is beautiful from start to end. You turned something that could have been really cliche into a really short and sweet piece. I think the simplicity of this made it real and the fact that you left the ending to our imaginations in what's to come of their relationship next. Very good.May 21st, 2012 at 05:57am

"Tony loved Mandy.
So by association, he was pretty much required to love the library."
Really? Why doesn't a guy like this exist? They're so cute. Great job!May 12th, 2012 at 09:13pm -
This is so cute, to the point of being almost painful. I bet I could get cavities from this, love. Your writing is, as usual, spectacular. I hope you win, honey - you deserve it.May 12th, 2012 at 08:39pm

Love the repetition of endearing. Really gives this a cute mood, I also love the kind of generic names they have. And that this takes place in a library. Most people like to read about love in the library, but these two found it in a library. How cute.
