This is the kind of sickly sweet that you enjoy reading. It's so short but it has its ups and its downs. I was really surprised to see it written as a John O fic, but it definitely works. The descriptions of him come out clearly without really having to explain it. If you want this to read as an original, you might want to describe him a bit more though. Especially when she sees him for the first time. You switch to her perspective once, so you could do it again when she sees him.

The only critique I have is that I'm wondering how she's up walking around after eye-surgery. How many days has it been? Don't they usually make people keep their eyes covered for at least a few hours?

This was really beautiful. It encompasses a lot. Nerves, jealously, doubts, love, etc.

This made me cry a lot since my right eye can't see. Damn, this gave me so much hope. I love this.
